North Wayside Roadway/Bridge Repair

Scientech was the prime consultant in the rehabilitation project for City of Houston.  It included major repairs to failed pavement, slope stability analysis and reconstruction of portion of this roadway that were damaged severely.  The other part of the project was rehabilitation of damaged old bridge structure that was in need of immediate repairs.  Traffic control, utility research and extensive coordination with existing water line and that had to be relocated and a private utility gasline that was in the way, adjustment and extensive coordination with existing waterline that had to be relocated and a private utility gasline that was in the way,   phased construction and use of fast setting concrete to expedite the repairs was main features of this project.    The project was done on a fast-track schedule to expedite the use of this bridge that was a main entrance to a residential area as well as schools.  The existing channel was lined with rock and rip-rap to prevent future erosion problem.
