from SH 6 to Tain, Northwest Houston

Scientech was the prime consultant on reconstruction of a 4 lane asphalt roadway to 4 lane Boulevard reinforced concrete pavement with curb and gutter and new storm sewers, with a continuous left turn lane.  The existing roadway was open ditch roadway.  Flooding had been a major concern in the roadway.  Extensive storm sewer and hydrology study was performed for mitigation and prevention of flooding on the roadway.  Coordination with TxDOT was required on drainage, intersection design and traffic signal improvements at SH6 end.  One more signal and intersection design had to be performed at Tain crossing. Traffic control, plans, SWPPP, storm Water utility Management, (SWQMP) environmental, archeology survey, detention ponds, utility adjustment and ADA ramps were among other task.  Corner clips Right of Way were identified and acquired to improve the intersection.
